Sri Lanka-China Business Council’s 4th Edition of the newsletter was launched and presented to Hon. Deputy Minister of Highways and Investment Promotion, Eran Wickramaratne

The Sri Lanka-China Business Council(SLCHBC) launched its bi-annual newsletter at the Taj Samudra on Friday, the 15th of May, 2015 at a business and networking event for companies from the Chinese city of Qingdao and Sri Lanka, titled ‘New Business Silk Road to Qinqdao.’
The first copy of the newsletter was presented by Mr. Navindra Abeysekera-President of SLCHBC, and Mr. Aruna Perera – Head of Member Development and Newsletter Subcommittee of the SLCHBC, to Honorable Deputy Minister of Highways and Investment Promotion, Eran Wickramaratne, who was one of the esteemed guests and speakers at the event.
The principle focus of the newsletter is to enhance communication with members of the SLCHBC and other interested stakeholders, by providing information on notable Information and business with regards to Sri Lanka and China, Council Events, upcoming trade fairs, seminars and exhibitions to be held in both Sri Lanka and China, as well as various other proceedings of interest to bilateral affairs. In accordance with the main aims of the SLCHBC, the newsletter is expected to further expand trade, investment and the development of joint ventures between Sri Lanka and China via the circulation of information on this platform.
The newsletter, entitled ‘Ni Hao’, is printed in both English and Chinese, and distributed to all the members of the SLCHBC as well as the other Business Councils under the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Sri Lanka, the Sri Lankan Embassy in Beijing, all Chambers and Departments of Commerce in China with whom the SLCHBC has signed agreements with and numerous other institutions based in China.
